HoPES Researcher Selected for International Energy Planning Summer School

HoPES Researcher Mr. Chew Yick Eu has been selected to participate in the 2025 Summer School on Energy Planning of 100% Renewable Energy Systems, taking place at the Inter University Centre Dubrovnik in Croatia from 29 September to 03 October 2025.

The five day programme blends short lectures with practical computer based workshops. Mr. Chew Yick Eu focuses on two key tools. H2RES, an energy system modelling software used for analysing renewable energy integration, and LEAP, a widely applied platform for energy policy and emissions planning. The training strengthens Mr. Chew Yick Eu’s technical capabilities by providing hands on experience with modelling smart energy systems, assessing policy scenarios, and improving data management. Participation also offers valuable knowledge exchange with international experts and peers, enriching Mr. Chew Yick Eu’s ongoing work within the HoPES community.
