HoPES Researchers Selected to Participate in Prestigious EMP-APAC 2025 Energy Modelling Programme

Three HoPES Researchers, Mr. Chew Yick Eu, Ms. Cheng Xin Hui and Ms. Adeline Tan Shu Ting, were selected to join the Energy Modelling Platform for Asia and the Pacific 2025, a fully funded capacity-building programme by Climate Compatible Growth (CCG), held at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok from 1 to 19 September 2025. Mr. Chew Yick Eu took part in the Energy System Modelling track using the OSeMOSYS interface, Ms. Cheng Xin Hui joined the CLEWs track and Ms. Adeline Tan Shu Ting participated in the FINPLAN track. They also attended the Policy Dialogue on Energy Modelling at the UNESCAP Conference Centre, where they contributed to discussions with international partners. During the programme they presented the research they had developed throughout the course to participants from all tracks, encouraging collaboration and demonstrating the practical application of their modelling work.
