Following their academic attachment programme in Hungary, five researchers from HoPES – Mr. Chew Yick Eu, Ms. Adeline Tan Shu Ting, Ms. Cheng Xin Hui, Ms. Selena Song Kian Yii, and Ms. Tiffany Ang Jia Ning, further expanded their international academic engagement through their participation in the 3rd Conference on Sustainability (COS2025), organised by Széchenyi István University and held in Győr from 10 to 12 November 2025.

The conference brought together researchers, academics, and industry experts from around the world to discuss pressing sustainability issues and innovative solutions across multiple disciplines. Key themes of the conference included sustainability in engineering and IT, circular economy, healthcare, transportation, education, and sustainability for society. Dr. How Bing Shen from the team was also invited to give a keynote presentation titled "Exploiting Carbon Credit Trading Scheme using Graph-Theoretic Approach".

Building on the knowledge and networks developed during their attachment programme in Hungary, the HoPES team’s participation in COS2025 provided valuable opportunities to engage in international scholarly discussions, exchange research ideas, and strengthen collaborative ties with global researchers and institutions.

Their involvement in both the attachment programme and the conference reflects HoPES’ continuous commitment to fostering international exposure, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impactful sustainability research at the global level.
